DevLog : 2nd Week

This week we gathered with the art students to talk a little about the general art direction we want to go for, they started working on some sketches for Caleb and I'm really liking the vibe they give. We also started doing the design document but still haven't finished, we talked about some bullet points of what we want to have in each part and divided tasks between us for finishing them. This weekend I'm going to make the game loop graph, we already have it but only in writing, and another part that's still to be decided.


Ana Abreu

During this week, we started talking to the art students assigned to our team. We discussed the end aesthetics of our game, and they have already made some sketches. Together we are building/creating some cool visuals and characters that will make the whole game come to life and become more cohesive. We have also discussed the topics to consider for the next week's deliverables, turning our idea into a more complex and more real project. We have divided the sections amongst the team members, and I got the competition part.


José Gouvêa

The team's main focus this week was expanding on our game concept and narrowing down the design and feel of the game's characters with our peers from "Belas Artes". Working on our game document has helped us explore and define many aspects surrounding our idea which we hadn't considered before. Not only did it help us get a clearer picture of the game we want to develop, but also forced us to settle some differences we might have had regarding our personal vision for " Caleb's Demons". For the game document, we ended up dividing the work amongst the team and my assignment is to create the personas and gather some feedback for our competition and concept from people from our audience. As for the design team, I'm pleased with the work they have put out and the efficient back and forth the teams have been having these past few weeks. Everyone seems motivated to deliver an awesome project and I'm looking forward to the next phase!

Pedro Freire

This week we focused on better developing our ideas for the game mechanics. We also started talking to the art students and started refining same ideas about the art style for the game, particularly for the main character Caleb. Finally we started working on the design document but still haven’t finished.
